\,,/How I Feel About The Four Earth Sciences\,,/: meteorology

The thing i liked the most about meteorology was the study of the weather and the clouds. Like the cirrus cloud are like strands of hair i didn't know there were even different types of clouds until this year.

\,,/How I Feel About The Four Earth Sciences\,,/:oceanography

my favorite part about this was the study of oceanography is when we learned about the formations under the ocean. Like all of the rigdes and the other things that outline the ocean floor.

\,,/How I Feel About The Four Earth Sciences\,,/:Astronomy

My favorite part about the Astronomy subject was my project because i learned that alot of people believe in SETI's. Alot of Americans believe in SETI's and/or have seen some.

\,,/How I Feel About The Four Earth Sciences\,,/: GEOLOGY

Oceanography, Meteorology, Astronomy, Geology.
My favorite topic in Geology was the study of the volcanoes. Besides the fact that they are the one of the most dangerous Earthly developements they are also interesting in the way they end up exploding. I personally enjoy cone volcanoes the most.

BIG STARS,little stars,a bunch of stars

On a Hertzprung Russel diagram the main sequence is the relationship between absolute magnitude and the temperature of the star.
Ninety percent of stars are main sequence stars....
Our very own star is a main sequence star..........
The sun will become a Red Giant in about 4 billion years
The HR diagram shows the stars from hottest to coldest from left to right. The brighter the star the higher up it is on the graph. The stars not in the line from left to right are not apart of the main sequence.

*******HEY its a bird.. no its a plane... *NO wait its a bunch of stars HAHA*********

the names of 10 stars are:
1 Jabbah
2 sun
3 Wolf359
4 Ross128
5 Luyten 726-8A
6 Luyten 726-8B
7 Ross 248
8 Ross 154
9 Luyten 789-6
10 Barnard's Star
I'm going to talk about Wolf359
the Wolf359 star is a dwarf star
there are no stars orbiting it within a 1 AU radius.
it is found in the constellation Leo.
It is 7.78 light years away.

SOMETHING SO WORTH typing ABOUT

BLACK holes, WORM holes, DARK matter, DARK energy, and SETI... OH MY!

bLaCk HoLeS--> are stars taht are at least 10 to 15 times the size of the sun. if a star that big goes supernova it might leave behind a massive remnant of the star. because there is no opposing force the gravitational forces the remnants calapse into itself. it soon collapses into the point of zero volume and infinate density, creating what is known as the P.O.S.
As the diensity becomes heavier the light rays comming from it are bent and eventually wrap around the star. Because no light escapes after getting to the P.O.S it is known as a BlAcK hOlE!!!!!!

wORM Holes--> worm holes are thought to wend a person to another area. Its like you would be walking and then u would fall into a warmhole and end up on the other end of the world.

DaRk MaTtEr--> its the unseen matter that could make up 90 percent of space. it cannot be seen. it deflects away from each other like magnets on the North/North side.

DArk EnerGY--> a hypothetical form of energy that increases the rate of expansion of the universe. dark energy currently accounts for almost three-quarters of the total mass-energy of the universe. Two proposed forms for dark energy are the cosmological constant, a constant energy density filling space and scalar fields.

AND SETI XD-->(or the search for extra terestrial life) life is thought to exist in different plants in other solar systems.

*woosh*WIND*woosh*

wind wind the magical resource XD
friction, the Coriolis effect, and pressure differences are the three factors that effect wind...
the one i believe has the most effect on it is friction. i think this because it slows the wind speed and changes its direction.
if friction just suddenly stopped then wind would alot faster and more predictable even more it would all probably go the same direction!

ever daydream while looking at a cloud here are some facts

clouds are found in three types high middle and low.
three high clouds are cirrocumulus, cirrostratus, and cirrus.
three middle clouds are altocumulus, altostratus, and lenticular.
three low clouds are stratocumulus, nimbostratus, and stratus.

The cloud that looks best to me is the cumulonimbus clouds because it takes up most of the sky and blocks out the sun...

these clouds bring hail, rain, sleet, snow, along with cold weather.

my favorite air massXD XB

The four types of air masses are continental tropical(cT), continental polar(cP), maritime tropical(mP), and maritime polar(mP). my favorite type is is maritime polar because it bring cold, wet, and possibly snowy weather. which is all awsome. in this weather i like to jog, dance in the rain, sit outside, read, and sleep.

The Greenhoues Effect

The greenhouse effect is the rise in temperature that the Earth experiences because certain gases in the atmosphere trap energy from the sun.the three most common greenhouse gas is water vapor, CO2, and methane. Greenhouse gases are produced by well methane is from flatulance. CO2 is froms when one carbon molecule comes together with two oxygen molecules.water vapor is the gas form of water. the greenhouse effect causes the earth to become hotter or colder than normal. the greenhoues effect is a bad thing because it harms our atmosphere.

my awsome and all knowing blog

I think that for my blogs i should get a grade above an 89, because everything is on point if it wasnt for the many grammaticle errors(i probably spelled grammaticle wrong) also my punctuation problems that you have probably seen. But overall i have kept up with virtually all of my blogs. That is why i think I deserve anything above an 89

Another Article

Shake It All Bout
2
It is by The Economist print.
3
It was published by the Economist Print.
4
It falls under Geology.
5
Three facts are..If you dropped your laptop computer, a chip built into it will sense the acceleration and protect the special moving parts of its hard disk before it hits the ground and breaks =(. The chip used inside the laptops are now be used to try and detect Earthquakes. The speedometers are now being used inside of cell phones which will hopefully do the same for them as they did for the laptops.
6
Something interesting about this was that the laptop speedometer inside these laptops are able to be used to messure earthquakes. Another interesting fact is that the speedometer is used in cars to detect when airbags need to open.
7
why didnt they think of doing this earlier?

ΞArticle Worth talking AbOuTΞ

the title of the articel is "Storm System Drenches North Carolina Coast"...
2.
The article is by Sam Scott & Dave Reynolds.
3
It was published by Star News Online
4
It goes under Oceanography and Meterology. That is the science it falls under.
5
Thursday was a good day to stay indoors because gusting winds and rain made it the gloomiest day in a long time with winds and rains expected to continue into Friday. There was alot of flooding in areas. There is still alot of rain expecting to fall.
6
That people found the storm was very bad even though over here it wasnt too bad. People who have lived there for a long time found it bad also because of all the flooding.

the KILAUEA VOLCANO is found in Hawaii. Its elevation is 4091 ft (1247 m). the volcano is at an orange alert level.Ancient Hawaiians believed you could see Pele, a beautiful fire goddess in the lava of the volcano when the volcano erupted. They believed she made the volcano erupt when she was very mad! Be sure to watch the volcano because of the orange level advisory

« iran gets HIT HARD»

1. the two articles i read were Sea Floods Texas Island; Get Out or Certain Death and Strong Earthquake in Southern Iran Kills 4
2.
the first article is about how an earthquake with a magnitude of 6.1 kills 4 and wounds 34. the epicenter of the earthquake lasted about 30 seconds.
3.
the article is about how the low lying parts of texas are told to evacuate there homes because of hurrican ike. but the people in the higher parts of texas are told to just stay indoors. the low lying parts are thought to flood because of the storm. but only 80% of the 90% of people have complied.
4.
the earthquake in iran was more disasterous though.
5.
the flooding of texas wasnt that bad because the people were told ahead of time what was going to happpen while the people in iran were unnotified before the earthquake hit. but both were bad because both lost many homes in the aftermath of the disasters.

recent EARTHquakes

1.
Most earthquakes occur along the edge of the oceanic and continental plates.
2.
i think it happens because plates under the earth are always moving and after a good amount of moving they slip.
3.
Most earthquakes occur along the edge of the oceanic and continental plates.
4.
the earthquake closet to North Carolina was in Clarksville, TN
5.
the earthquake in SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico was a 3.2.

←† a real life example of a mass movement †→

a rockfall is a rock or rockfragments that fall freely through the air.its common on slopes that are steep for loose material to remain on the surface.alot of this is caused by mechanical weathering of rocks caused by freeze-thaw cycles of by plant roots. these sometime cause other mass movements.

♠the best renewable resource♠™

my favorite renewable resource is wind resource because it feels good and there is always going to be wind. even though there is not always wind blowing, it is free. wind energy is made by the wind blowing on turbines in very windy cities, by turning the turbines it somehow makes electrictiy. I am a fun of the wind because it is refreshing to feel and it can be very usefull when trying to turn the turbines because in some places its very strong. the wind can be very destructive even though it does have its good sides.

my favorite map projection

My favorite map projection is the gnomic (noh-mik)projection , i like this one because it is pretty simple to understand if you know what your countries look like. The thing that i very much enjoy is the fact that it only show half of the world at a single time. Working with half the world is much easier personally because being able to focus on a single area rather that the whole world. Being able to focus only on either the Nothern or Southern hemisphere help some to focus on a certain point, rather than searching the whole map for a point you could find in one hemisphere. The gnomic projection is a different way in which to show the world because it shows only half of the world.

My favorite thing about Earth Science is:

My imparticulary favorite part about Earth Science is astronomy, because astronomy deals with the study of the stars.I find it interesting how some people believe they can tell your future by looking at the stars and know the day you were born. I also find it interesting how someone can find out which way North is by just looking at a certain star out of over millions of them in the sky. It has been millions since people first started using this way of passage and still we use it when in dire need or just for the sense of knowing.

Even the Northern Lights are a sight to behold, they are lights that light up the sky and are a wonder to see. This is caused because the sun gives off high-energy charged particles that travel out into space at speeds of 300 to 1200 kilometres per second. Just that fact makes it a very special occassion, because certain things have to happen, for these magnificent lights to show just above the Earth.
